This is a mint condition Yanagisawa S-901 professional soprano sax in gold lacquer, serial number 00350299. This soprano has seen little playing time in its life and is in pristine shape. It remains in tremendous condition and is an excellent value for a new owner.
You'd be hard pressed to find so much as a scratch on this soprano. I see no noticeable lacquer wear, even on the touch points. No dents or dings, no resolders. It really is immaculate. Pads are still in like-new condition, and the sax recently received a fresh adjustment from our repair shop. We'll give it a final check before shipping to make sure everything is still tip-top.
This soprano plays with very sweet, even sound, with a strong focus. It is about as easy blowing as you will find on a modern soprano, and takes your air extremely quickly. Full sound from low Bb up into the palm keys. It would make for an outstanding classical horn, but has no problem with jazz with the right mouthpiece. Ships in its original case (also in excellent shape).
