This is a late 70s vintage Otto Link Tone Edge hard rubber tenor saxophone mouthpiece. Made in Elkhart recently after the move from Pompano Beach. While not on a Slant mold anymore, it has all the telltale signs of an early Babbitt, including a clearly defined baffle just behind the tip. This piece was originally a 7 from the factory, but was recently refaced by Eric Drake and is just a bit more open now at .105”. His work is clean and the facing looks great. The mouthpiece shows only very minor cosmetic scuffing around its body with no major wear of note. Even the original factory white stamping remains clearly visible with little fading. Great playing piece with a bit of punch, thanks to that baffle.
