This is a used NY Legacy hard rubber mouthpiece for alto sax by Matt Marantz. The piece was hand finished with a .078” tip opening. This piece has seen a decent amount of play time in the past but is still in excellent physical condition. The facing profile is very clean around the rails and tip.
Marantz makes these pieces in the spirit of the great vintage Meyer NY USA mouthpieces of the 1960's. Each one of these pieces is made from high quality German bar stock rubber and hand finished by Mr. Marantz. This particular piece plays with a rich characteristic and a lot more body in comparison to most of the other modern interpretations of a Meyer.
