Used Beechler 8S Hard Rubber Mouthpiece for Soprano
Powerful Tone that CUTS!
This is a Beechler 8S hard rubber mouthpiece for soprano saxophone in used condition, tip opening measures .077-inch/1.95mm. This mouthpiece is in great physical condition, although most of the original paint has worn away and there are a few ligature scrapes across the body. Fortunately the beak, rails, tip, and table look great. The body shows no signs of oxidation.
This piece plays with a compact and vibrant tone, the flat side-walls give it an economic response to your airflow. The baffle features a slight roll-over and leads down to a semi-rounded small chamber.
This piece would do well in the sax section of a big band, specifically the thick Thad Jones passages where you've got to fight for your fair share of sonic space.
