This is a very pretty King “Saxello” Bb soprano saxophone from 1925, serial number 84908. These saxophones are one of the more unique sopranos ever manufactured. They feature a curved fixed neck and a significant bell curve. This one show cases a satin silver body tube with burnished silver neck, bell and key work. The bell flare has a gold plated wash around it. In addition to a unique look these saxophones also play with a ton of brilliance and character.

This saxophone does include the original lyre stand attachment.

This particular Saxello is in gorgeous condition. Several years ago it received a clean up and restoration in another shop. They outfitted with a set of medium firm leather pads and metal resonators. Looking over the sax carefully there was some repair work done around the upper stack key posts near where the upper body tube meets the neck. All of he original key work, pearls and tone holes are in excellent condition. The bell flare is showing some blemishing to the gold wash but does not looking like it was ever repaired or damaged.

The King Saxello is due for some general maintenance and service. It is currently in line for a professional set up in our shop. This will include doing a fine regulation of the key work and replacing any needed materials in order to make it perfect. Before putting it in line in our shop we did have Ben do a quick video on it. While it was leaking at the time the video was taken we were able to get a nice idea of its character and quality of sound.

Ships in perfect playing condition with vintage wood case and lyre stand. The case is in decent overall condition but is missing 2 of the 3 latches.
