Selmer Paris S90 180 Soprano Sax Mouthpiece - LIKE NEW

This is a Selmer Paris S90 180 mouthpiece for soprano saxophone in hard rubber, the tip opening measures .052-inch/1.32mm. This mouthpiece is in like-new condition and has never been owned, it's showing no scratches or oxidation, but the paint is missing in spots on the logo.

 

The S90 mouthpiece differs from the Selmer S80 but with a larger set squared chamber. The side walls are similarly flat, the baffle shape is too. Sonically, it sounds a little bit warmer and slightly brighter than the S80, it gives a more even response across registers as well.

 

This one is in impeccable physical condition with no signs of scratches from ligatures, teeth marks on the beak, no divots on the table, side rails, or rail-tip. Again there is one cosmetic blemish of missing paint on the facing marking but that's the only bit.

 

Players in college looking for a good mouthpiece for their senior recital, sax quartet and the like would appreciate this piece as it's like-new, offered at a discount. The S90 will ship in its original box and bag, but without a ligature or mouthpiece cap.
