1951 Vintage Conn 10M Naked Lady Tenor Sax in Gold Lacquer, Serial #344971
Vintage Naked Lady 10M
This is a later vintage C.G. Conn 10M tenor saxophone in gold lacquer from 1951, serial number 344971. A great power item for anyone looking for a sweet American vintage tenor. This one is in particularly solid condition and is a fantastic free blowing player.
Looking over the sax, it shows off a pretty clean look across the body while sporting the classic “Naked Lady” engraving. At some point in the past this horn had the gold lacquer finish re-done. Its current finish is in nice condition showing normal play wear and some history of body and solder repair. The saxophone was recently overhauled in another pro shop and is in excellent physical condition from top to bottom. Both the bell flare and bottom bow cap are in very good condition. The saxophone includes the original neck, which is also in excellent shape with no history of major repair.
This saxophone received a professional overhaul in another pro shop last year and is playing up an absolute storm. The work features a set up with new premium leather pads and set of CNC machined metal domed resonators. All of these pads are still in great shape and have a ton of life left in them. Additionally the key work feels ultra fluid under the fingers allowing for a positive playing experience. It should also be noted the key pearls are also in great shape. In order to ensure the saxophone leaves our store in top condition it will also go through our shop before shipping. The 10M tenor ships out in perfect playing condition with a good protec contused case.
