This is a 70s era Selmer Paris “scroll shank” mouthpiece for the tenor sax. It features the same scroll pattern and horseshoe shaped chamber of the earlier Soloist pieces, but has a bit less rollover baffle, giving it a warmer/darker sound. The piece shows oxidation around its body, evidence of the quality hard rubber content, but little physical wear, only very faint cosmetic scratching around its body. No teeth indents in the beak, and the original tip and rails are clean. It is stamped a C** and measures .074”.
