Downright gorgeous original lacquer King Zephyr series tenor sax, serial number 443611. We recently got in a Zephyr bari where I remarked that we rarely see these in original lacquer. That one was beat up, but this tenor looks incredible! Available as-is needing pads, or with the option to have us properly overhaul it.

The original lacquer on this tenor is 95%+, with only mild lacquer finish wear here and there from normal use. Absolutely no major dents and no signs of past repair, including no resolders. The neck is original, and it has never been pulled down or damaged. A real stunner to see in person, this tenor looks as nice as any vintage King you'll find.

This tenor came to us on very old pads, maybe even the factory originals. It definitely needs a repad, but if you'd like to buy it as-is, we are offering it at a much reduced price. Conversely, if you'd like us to do the work, just select from the option above during checkout. Our overhaul would include cleaning and all new pads/corks/felts, and pro set up. We'd use the same quality pads and material as we would on a top shelf Super 20, so rest assured it would be playing wonderfully when complete. Please allow 6-8 weeks from time of purchase if you'd like us to do the work.

Once properly restored, this tenor should knock your socks off. It has the same big bell and bottom bow dimensions as a Super 20 but plays just a bit warmer. Still, a very big sound and lots of power for players who gravitate towards the rock n roll sound. Ships in its original black King case.
