Absolutely stunning example of a Keilwerth SX90R Shadow series tenor saxophone, serial number 125118. This tenor has quite the look, featuring black nickel plating with silver plated keys. It is a top shelf tenor for serious players wanting to stand out, in both sound and looks.

Physically, this tenor is about as clean as they come. The original finish is 99% intact with no major finish wear of note, even on the touch points. There is some very light surface scratching in a few spots, such as on the backside of the bell and body tube and down around the bottom bow, as seen in the photos, but you've got to look closely to see anything. Absolutely no dents or dings, no resolders, no previous damages or repairs. The original neck is in flawless shape. Everything looks great top to bottom on this horn.

The factory original black pads are still in great shape with tons of life in them, but it has been awhile since the sax received a good set up, so it will go through our shop for a proper regulation. We'll reseat pads as needed, replace all key adjustment corks and felts, and reset spring tensions and key heights for proper response and feel.

If you've been hunting for a top tier Keilwerth, you don't find a better horn. This tenor takes all of the air you can push through it and you never feel like you are hitting a wall. Remember, it is black nickel plating, not black lacquer, and nickel has such a resonant quality to it that you can really feel it under your fingers. This tenor just sings without any serious effort.
