This is a fantastic price on an original lacquer Cleveland era King Super 20 tenor sax, sreial number 356444. This tenor was recently completely overhauled by another pro shop and is a tremendous player. It will get a fresh pro set up from our shop before shipping and come to you in perfect playing shape and ready to go for a long time to come.

As you can see in the photos, this tenor shows moderate lacquer wear, but all from honest use. There's a couple resolders here and there (side Bb posts, a couple lower body keyguard feet) but nothing that signals heavy trauma or abuse. The bell flare looks great, bottom bow is solid, etc. The sax has its original sterling silver double socket neck, with matching serial number, and it too is in great shape.

This tenor was overhauled in the last year, using firm leather pads matched with flat metal disc resonators. To make sure it is perfect, it will go through our repair shop for a “freshening up” regulation, where we'll replace some material and go through and make sure all pads are properly seated and sealing perfectly. You can have reassurance that it will arrive to you playing at the top of its game.

This sax is a real monster. It takes your air extremely quickly with little resistance and its resonance is felt through your hands. Big, ballsy sound that carries easily. The action is quick and nimble under your fingers and everything feels crisp. Great all-around lead tenor sound that you can feel as well as hear!
