Early Vintage Original Lacquer 1937 CG Conn 10M 'Naked Lady' Tenor Sax - Serial # 282084
Naked Lady – 1937
This is a real stunner! All original C.G. Conn 10M “Naked Lady” tenor saxophone, serial number 282084. Dating back to 1937 this Conn is a premium example of one of the most idiomatic saxophones made in America. These instruments are known for their robust character and powerful free blowing response.
The pictures almost don't do this horn justice. The original lacquer is 98-99% intact, with only minor wear around some of the major touch points. There has never been any major repair on this saxophone. It has no signs of past dent work and has never had any solder repair. The rolled tone holes have never been filed on. This saxophone looks to have only been sparingly played during the course of its life. All of the original key work, guards and rollers are intact. The physical and cosmetic condition of this saxophone are exceptional.
This 10M came to us having been handled with care. At the moment it is playing on a set of very old pads down to the low D. As these pads are quite past their prime the saxophone is ultimately going to need to receive an overhaul before it is going to be ready for serious playing. We are offering this saxophone in as is condition at a lower price point in order to leave room for the next owner to get it worked on by their preferred tech.
If you have been on the hunt for a premium 10M this one is going to be hard to beat. Ships in as is condition with the original Conn wood hard case.
