This is a great Bundy tenor saxophone in gold lacquer finish, serial number 47688. The horn shows off its original lacquer finish and Bundy SI floral engraving around the bell area. This is one of the first series of Bundy tenors made by Buescher after the Selmer buy out. Both from a constructional and a playing stand point the Bundy is very similar to the Buescher Aristocrat.
The body of the saxophone is in solid condition but does show the history of some past body and solder repair. Some of the lower key guard feet have been re-soldered in the past. The original neck with the saxophone has previously been pulled down but was more recently corrected.
This tenor recently received a basic service in our shop and is playing great. All of the leather pads and brown nylon resonators are in good shape and have plenty of life left in them. The Bundy is technically a student instrument. However, due to its great sound and the similarities to the Buescher Aristocrat this horn is most ideal for the seasoned pro in need of a great horn for a lot less money.
A tremendous free blowing player at a great price. Ships with a good contoured case.
