This is a stunning gorgeous Yanagisawa T-992PG series tenor sax, serial number 00310008. This is Yani’s absolute top-of-the-line bronze 992 tenor in pink gold plate. The best-of-the-best that Yani offers, and an absolute dream to play for the most discerning of saxophonists.

This horn is in tremendous shape, having been extremely well cared for and handled with kid gloves. There is no wear to the plating, even on the touch points. Absolutely no dents or dings, no resolders, no previous damages or repairs. As flawless as a used horn can be. The original neck with underslung octave key is in perfect shape. This tenor feature elaborate hand engraving that is a notch above even the other pro horns Yanagisawa offers, and is a sight to see. Currently in our repair shop, this tenor will received a thorough cleaning and hand polishing, along with a pro set up, before shipping. We’ll wipe it down so that it is clean and shines like new, and will clean and reseat all pads, replacing any that are starting to show wear. We’ll also replace all key adjustment corks and felts and optimize key heights and spring tensions for an optimal playing experience.

I’m a Yani fan, but even I am blown away by this tenor. It plays with a free and open response, most likely owing to the bronze body construction of the 992.
