Blessing BPC-1287 Piccolo

Here we have a solid student piccolo, a Blessing BPC-1287 with silver plated keys, head joint, and tenon, serial number #PC18101006. This one is playing nicely on its original yellow bladder pads. We are selling it playing in as is condition on its factory pads and materials.

This piccolo has a traditional look about, but it's made of a composite material in the body, the tenon of the body has cork and also is silver plated brass. The head joint is silver plated nickel-silver with a semi-squared lip plate. This lip plate design gives the low end a rich sonic texture, and the upper registers have excellent core and clarity. The keys are mounted on ribbing across the whole body, standard chromatic keys down to low-D. Trill D, D#, and Bb are included for the right hand. All key-work driven by stainless-steel springs.

In comparison to a metal piccolo this one is not as bright, not necessarily darker, just less shimmer in the upper registers which can at times be harsh. Intermediate players, doublers, pit orchestra players, all these folks will get a good amount of use out of this before seeking out a wooden piccolo for higher level playing.

This instrument has not seen a lot of play time so far and the pads have a lot of life left in them.

We will ship this pic in as-is condition with its original head joint, in a black carrying case with red interior. All of this will be stored inside a Blessing synthetic fabric case cover, with faux white-fur interior, this has an extendable shoulder strap on it!
