This is dead mint, top shelf Yanagisawa T-991 tenor sax in black lacquer, serial number 00306094. This tenor looks brand new and has obviously been treated with kid gloves. If you love the black lacquer look but are turned off by some of those high prices, you'll fall in love with this beauty.

There's nothing bad to say about this tenor. The original black lacquer finish is 99.99% perfect. I can't find a flaw on it. There's a couple miniscule scratches on the inside flare of the bell (on the gold lacquered area) but you've got to look awfully close, it's really splitting hairs. Obviously no dents or previous repairs. The sax looks new.

This sax came in on all original pads which for the most part are also in new condiiton. A few in the upper start are a bit dirty, so we'll be performing a fresh pro set up and replacing a couple pads to make everything perfect. We'll clean the horn, and reseat all pads, with new material everywhere. Finally, we'll optimize the key heights and spring tensions.

This tenor is a joy to play. Full, dark tone with an easy response and offering the player excellent control. It takes your air comfortably and responds fast, with a strong center. Very warm sounding. The action is light and quick under your fingers with no lost motion, and will be even better once our work is complete. Outstanding deal all around. Ships in its original case.
