This is a used Yamaha Custom Z (YTS-82Z II, newest series) tenor sax with a factory unlacquered body, serial number E77975. Like all horns in raw brass, it shows cosmetic playing wear as soon as you put more than a few hours on it, and this tenor certainly looks like it has been around the block, but physically it is just about perfect, and it is available for a super low price.

This Custom Z shows no dents, dings, no resolders, no previous damages or repairs of any kind. The bell flare, bottom bow, and bell-to-body brace are all perfect. The original Custom V1 neck has never been pulled down or damaged. The sax features keywork from low Bb to high F (custom ordered without high F#) and definitely has all the resonance you could ask for in a non-high F# horn.

We are selling this tenor as-is needing some pad work. The original factory pads are quite dirty and the sax could use, at minimum, a thorough cleaning and adjustment with some new pads, as some pads are sticking and the keywork/action is clicky in spots. However, it is playing very well up and down the range of the instrument, and with our repair shop backed up for months, we've decided to let this one go at a very low price. You can definitely take it to a gig right now, but you should plan on getting some work done soon. The sax ships in its original case, which is also in pristine shape.
