Store Information
Here we have a very sweet Buescher Aristocrat 140 series alto saxophone with serial number 333886. This version of the Aristocrat succeeded the "Big B" model of the WWII and post war era. Features of this model include original amber rollers, gold plated Norton springs, "railroad style" bell key guards, and front F mechanism. The sax shows the history of an actively played horn. It has seen some history of past repair, including minor dent work in the bottom bow, but it solid top to bottom. The lacquer on this sax is in great condition, original with some typical wear around the neck strap ring, bow, and palm key touches. The horn is now in perfect playing condition. It was restored in our shop 3 years ago with all new pads (matched with metal resonators) and material, and will get a fresh adjustment before shipping out.
This Buescher plays with an even, light, free-blowing character making clean projection in the lower stack easily executable. The upper end of this horn has a strong core with a particularly warm and pure timbre to it. The light, smooth-flowing action and fast response combination of this saxophone makes it a fantastic deal for the professional player, either as a main or back-up horn. This sax will be a key member of anyone's arsenal. Ships in a like-new Protec Pro Pac contoured case.
