Pretty Original Lacquer Mark VI
This is a pretty original lacquer Selmer Paris Mark VI tenor saxophone in original lacquer finish, serial number 180747. The tenor shows off a clean look to the lacquer which is accentuated further by the crisp floral engraving around the bell. Like many of the best Mark VI's this one does have some history of past repair but has been excellently maintained over the years. This is a very versatile playing Mark VI. It showcases a smooth air intake and responds with a rich core sound. The projection and flexibility of this sax are fabulous.

Looking over the sax, the body is in very straight forward condition. Its body tube and bell look great. The bell flare shows no signs it has ever been repaired in the past. A past repair tech did add a very small patch on the inner side of the bow. As there is no signs of major past trauma this was most likely done to compensate for a small factory seem. The tech did an excellent job of getting it in there in a clean fashion. The top foot of the low Eb key guard has been re-soldered in the past. This saxophones bow cap is in great shape and was never pushed in. This saxophone does include the original neck. The neck was pulled down previously but has been professionally brought back to its true position in another shop.

This tenor was overhauled not too terribly long ago in a different pro shop. It came in with a great set of premium leather pads and metal resonators. All of the pads are still in amazing condition. The sax is due for some general regulation and a set up. As such the horn is currently awaiting a professional set up in our shop. The work will include a dissemble and cleaning followed by precise regulation of the key work and replacement of any needed key materials.

Tenor ships out in perfect playing condition with a very clean original Selmer Paris case with working zipper.
