This is a beautiful condition, original silver plated Yamaha YSS-675 soprano saxophone, serial number 007172. This horn is in tremendous shape, and is a fantastic pro series soprano that comes with both straight and curved detachable necks. It's a great option for players who don't want to spend the money on a Custom series, but still want a pro Yamaha soprano.

The silver plating has tarnished a bit with time, but if you look past that, you can see that there is little actual wear on this soprano. No finish wear at all that I can spot, even on the touch points. No dents or dings, no resolders or previous repairs. Everything is in tip-top shape. The sax will get a thorough cleaning and hand polishing before it ships, so when it gets to you, it will be shining like the day it left the factory. We'll also perform a fresh pro set up, replacing any pads that are showing wear-and-tear and all key adjustment material.

This soprano really sings, with a pure, sweet tone that is easy on the ears. The silver seems to add resonance and a level of enhancement that is really quite pleasing. Strong, focused tone, and when you push it, this sax really cuts. Great sax for anything from quartet/ensemble to jazz. Ships in its original purple Yamaha case.
