Phil Woods Master Series by Drake
This is the Phil Woods 5* for alto saxophone from Drake's Masters Series. These pieces were crafted through collaboration between Drake and the Phile Woods Estate.
A very precise copy of Phil Woods Meyer mouthpiece. If you look closely you can even see brand stamping of his mouthpiece around the shank area. This one in particular has been played in the past but is still in great shape. The outer body is in excellent condition. You can see a few teeth marks on the original bite pad but the beak itself is in solid shape with no indentations. The facing profile of the piece regarding the table, tip and side rails is excellent.
As one would hope this piece plays like a very good Meyer. Very flexible and colorful. It can be played with a considerable amount of edge if desired.
