Antigua Tenor

This is an excellent Antigua 5200 series tenor saxophone in gold lacquer, serial number STS040235. These horns are a solid intermediate level saxophone. Perfect for the advancing student or serious beginner. This tenor features a traditional gold lacquer body with keywork to high F#. It is built well and feels solid under your fingers.

Physically the tenor is still extremely clean and does not look like it has seen a ton of use thus far. There is some cosmetic play wear from past use. There is not signs of major past repair or body work on the instrument. This saxophone is currently in need of some general servicing. In order to make it right for the next owner it is currently in the Saxquest shop awaiting adjustment.

This tenor plays with a quick and lively response, with just a touch of positive resistance to give you something to push against. Overall it has a slightly brighter tone, but you can tamp that down with the right mouthpiece if you want something darker. Very forgiving player, perfect for saxophonists looking to build on their foundation, and it offers a lot of control. Ships in its original shaped case.
