Vintage Buescher Student Alto – Beautiful Condition

This is a very pretty vintage Aristocrat IV model alto saxophone, serial number 472777. These Aristocrat models were made after Buescher was bought out by Selmer. They have long been a classic item for starting band students and marching band. This one in particular is extremely clean looking. The inking on the bell as well as the nickel key work are all in amazing condition. There are a few smaller dings on the horn and just a little bit of play wear, but nothing too bad. It also includes the original neck.

The alto came into our shop still mostly on original pads. At this time the sax is still playing down to low Bb if you put enough air in the horn. But as the pads are very old the saxophone is going to ultimately need to be re-padded before it could be ready for serious use. We were able to get a quick video of Ben playing the horn, he does make it look easy but please remember the pads on this sax are from the 1960's.
