Store Information
Here's a looker for the player looking for something that stands out. This is a first series Conn New Wonder bari sax in custom restored matte silver plate, serial number 45826, with keywork to high Eb. This horn features new plating, new engraving... the works. It looks fantastic and is a one-of-a-kind instrument.
The restoration was done a few years ago and features a frosty matte silver plated body with shiny silver keys and inlay engraving, with new engraving depicting portrait/scenic moments scattered around the bell. A previous owner also engraved a cheeky saying inside the gold wash of the bell. The silver is tarnishing throughout and could use a fresh polish. At the time of the work, the sax was also repadded using white pads and metal domed resonators. Though it hasn't seen much playing time since the work (has been held as a collector's showpiece most likely) the pads are not sealing great as it sits. The sax could use a fresh cleaning/polish and regulation, but with our shop backed up for months, we are selling this one as-is. If you have a local tech to iron out the kinks, this can be a very cool horn for its next owner. Ships in a good hard case.
