This is a sweet vintage Noblet wood bass clarinet, serial number 2774. This Leblanc-produced instrument is in very nice shape and available for a super low price. We are currently offering it as-is, with the option to have us restore it if you prefer.

This instrument was professionally played and maintained once upon a time, but it has been sitting for many years. Both grenadilla wood joints are very nice, with just one small crack near the top of the bottom joint, that is easily fixed. The tone holes appear to be in good shape and everything looks solid. All keywork is intact, showing normal finish wear from regular use, but nothing broken and no previous repairs. The previous owner had a mic pickup installed on the neck, but that can be removed too. There are no major dents to the neck or bell, just minor cosmetic wear.

The pads in this instrument are old and past use, and will need to be replaced. We are offering several purchase options with the instrument, available from the menu above. First, it can be purchased completely as-is at the lowest price. Second, we are offering to leave the instrument as-is, but removing the pickup in the neck for a nominal fee to cover labor. The pickup would be removed and a small, flush plug installed seamlessly (will not be a big, ugly patch). Finally, we are offering our complete overhaul, which would include cleaning/oiling, the minor crack repair as mentioned above, the pickup removal on the neck, and all new pads and material throughout. This will leave the instrument in perfect playing shape, as definitely our recommendation for the best bang-for-the-buck. Please allow 8 weeks if the overhaul is selected.

Once restored, this will be a fine player and at a price that is hard to beat. Ships in a good hard case as pictured.
