Very cool old Lyon & Healy soprano saxophone in original gold plate, serial number 201795. This soprano was produced by Martin under the L&H name, and has the same beveled tone holes that you'd see on a vintage Martin. There's also a really cool engraving pattern, as seen in the photos.

The soprano is in original gold plate, though it shows a moderate amount of finish wear for its age, and you can see a lot of the silver plate underneath the gold. Finish aside, the horn is still in solid physical condition though, with only some minor dings and dimples and no major past damage or trauma. The horn was repadded a couple years ago and all pads are still in great shape, fitted with metal resonators. It could use an adjustment, but since our repair shop is backed up for months, we are selling it as-is. Pads are in great shape and the sax is playing as it sits, so should not need too much work. This soprano has a definite warmer tone with a good response and a lot of color in its tone. Great deal on a vintage gold Martin-produced soprano with unique engraving.
