This is a pretty Selmer Paris Mark VI alto saxophone in gold lacquer, serial number 90465. A great option if you are looking for a five digit Mark VI with a darker sound. This one is currently in our shop awaiting a professional overhaul. It will ship in perfect playing condition with a nice later vintage Selmer wood hard case.

The alto was re-lacquered and professionally re-engraved in the past. Its engraving is particularly crisp giving the alto a sleek look. All of the original key work and guards are with the sax and in good condition. The key pearls are in nice shape and allow a good feel under the fingers. This saxophone is with a non original Selmer neck of similar vintage. The serial number on the neck reads 94724.

This alto came in to our shop on an older set of pads past their prime. As such it is currently in line for a complete mechanical restoration. The work will include a disassemble and cleaning followed by a set-up with precise key regulation and key fitting. While the horn is apart it will be outfitted with all new premium leather pro pads, metal domed resonators as well as all new corks and felts.
