In 1959, four transitional albums debuted that helped pave the way for jazz in a new direction. Three of those albums were Charles Mingus's “Mingus Ah Um”, Miles Davis's “Kind of Blue”, and Dave Brubeck's “Time Out”. This final album was originally going to be known as “Focus on Sanity”, but was officially changed by recommendation from the producer of the album (produced through Atlantic Records). This was the third album of a ground breaking avant-garde and free jazz saxophonist.
Who is the saxophonist and what is the title of the album?
Ornette Coleman – The Shape of Jazz to Come
