Saxquest is excited to offer a new service for Conn Saxophones!
Conn saxophones are well known for their locking pivot screws. This system is excellent when in proper functioning condition. However, it is common for the small lock screws to be lost, loose, damaged, or rusted in place. These symptoms lead to pivot screws backing out, being able to wiggle in their posts, and cause uneven wear in the mechanism.
Saxquest is now offering an upgrade to the Conn locking screw system! The process involves installing a slightly larger stainless steel set screw that uses an Allen wrench. The original Conn screws were an alloy of steel that is prone to rusting and prone to being broken by standard screwdrivers. When stuck, they are labor-intensive to remove. With this upgrade, there is a lower risk of the screws becoming stuck, and if they do, they are easier for technicians to remove and replace!
The cost of this upgrade service is $80 for New Wonder I or II and Artist Series 6M, 10M, or 12M. The cost is $100 for Connqueror 26M or 30M. The upgrade service is available only as an add on to a Setup or Overhaul Service tier.
