Collectors Piece - Beautiful Tone!
Here we have a Pan-American valved trombone in a matte silver finish, serial #96795. Pan-Am' horns were C.G. Conn stencils, it is difficult to put a date on this horn by serial numbers alone, but we can at least discern it was manufactured around 1933. An interesting feature of this horn, besides its gorgeous satin silver plating, is the true conical shape after the valve mechanism leading to a 7-inch gold-washed bell.

This horn delivers a focused, tight, dark, and rich tone through a very narrow .450-inch bore. It plays with a bit of resistance, but the notes find their center with ease.

This trombone needs a flush and valve work, so it can function fluidly, but it is working currently with no dents. Because of an increasingly long line of repairs we have lined up Saxquest is going to offer this one in as-is condition for a reduced price. Players looking for a decent valve trombone could get a fair amount of use out of this after some standard service.

This horn ships in as-is condition with a sturdy black box trombone case.
