Set Up by Saxquest
This is a lightly used Selmer Supreme alto saxophone in pristine condition, serial number 832500. The sax is a top notch player and was set up in the Saxquest shop in early 2024. A great option if you are looking to save some money vs buying one brand new.

The Supreme is Selmer's newest top of the line professional saxophone. This one in particular is an exceptional player with smooth response to air and a gorgeous sound. The key work feels great under the fingers allowing for ultra fluid movement. These altos are very balanced players and are great for the professionals who need a lot of flexibility.

Looking over the sax closely you can some light signs of past use on this sax. It has never had any serious repair to the body. There has been absolutely no body or solder work on this saxophone. The dark gold lacquer is stunning and fabulously complimented by the engraving along the bell. It neck is also in pristine physical condition.

This saxophone was professionally set up at Saxquest by Josh Creekmore in early 2024. The set-up included a dissemble and close inspection before it was precisely regulated and set up. Upgrades to backing key materials and spring tensions have also been preformed to optimize the altos performance. The alto is now very dialed in and in perfect playing condition.

This is an exceptional example of the Selmer Supreme and is in beautiful condition. Ships in perfect playing condition with a pro set up from our shop as well as the original case, mouthpiece and accessories.

The Supreme is a completely redesigned horn. While built on the popular Mark VI body tube, everything from tone hole placement and design, to neck, to key layout is all new. The neck and bell both have a new bore design, and attention to every minor detail of the saxophone has been thought out for today's player. Things like the front F key, the side Bb/C/high Eb keys, etc., have all been subtly moved for increased comfort and ease of play. In addition, this horn has new innovations throughout, like a stabilizing bar above the middle F key, a hinge mechanism on the left hand pinky keys (a popular design borrowed from the Series III soprano), and a new neck tenon fastener at the top of the horn. Even subtle changes like a minor shift in the high F# key are welcome changes to make the Supreme the most comfortable playing horn available today.
