HELP, I Want One!

Here we have a vintage Brilhart Ebolin #5 mouthpiece for tenor saxophone, serial number #042067, tip opening measuring .084-inch/2.13mm. This mouthpiece was crafted during the Huntington, NY period of Brilhart in the early 1950s, the serial indicates it could be closer to 1953. These mouthpieces have an iconic aesthetic indicative of the 1950s ingenuity.

This mouthpiece is in solid physical condition, showing some scrapes across the body, most of the original engraving paint is still present, and the beak is showing a slight divot from teeth marks. Someone has filed in a ligature line, this is a little ironic as Brilhart willfully stopped the ligature lines with . The table, side rails, and rail-tip are showing their original concentric circle milling marks, the tip has a slight divot in it but it seems to be only cosmetic as the piece plays fine.

Sonically this mouthpiece plays with a pointed focused sonic character, the tip opening isn't too big but the roll-over of the tip of the baffle helps this piece project a bit.

We will ship this mouthpiece without a ligature or a mouthpiece cap.
