Here we have a Gemeinhardt 4S Piccolo in silver, serial number #52156. This came into our shop playing on its current set of pads. In order to offer it at a lower price we will not being doing any additional service work to it and will be shipping it in as is condition.
This pic plays down to low-D with a few leaks in the upper range, it could use some set up work on the key heights to improve the feel. The keys move freely with their action driven by phosphor-bronze needle-springs. Key work features full chromatic representation down to low D, trill key work for Bb, D, and D#. Two raised areas on the body to nestle into your hands for easier grip and balance on the instrument as a whole.
Physically, this piccolo is in great shape, no dents to be found, the silver seems only slightly tarnished with no pitting, the lip plate is circular with no divots. The body is a nickel-silver core with silver plating, the pads are an older set of bladder pads.
