Like-New Open-Box Selmer Paris Soloist C* Mouthpiece for Alto Sax

Here we have a like-new Selmer Paris Soloist C* hard rubber mouthpiece for alto sax, the tip measures just beyond 0.061-inches/1.55mm. This mouthpiece has never been owned, it has no scratches or teeth marks, it's missing its gold engraving paint as well but still plays perfectly fine like a brand new piece.

 

The Selmer Soloist was reissued in the early part of the 2000's to bring back a mouthpiece with a horseshoe shaped chamber to Selmer Paris' lineup. This piece has all the features of the original Soloist from the 1950s just in a newer package on newer hard rubber. The piece features flat side walls, a deep sloping baffle, and a slight roll tip, it plays with a slightly sweet, dark, focused sound that can project well.

 

These pieces are great in the classical context, although some players throughout the years have played these pieces on an E facing or higher for jazz idioms. If you're a serious student looking for a solid upgrade to your mouthpiece setup for solo and ensemble, all-state, college auditions, or any other competitions, this is a great choice.
