This is a new-old-stock Selmer Paris D alto sax mouthpiece in hard rubber, tip opening measures about 0.067. This mouthpiece is like-new and has never been owned, it's in flawless condition, and we are offering it at a discount.

 

This mouthpiece is a new-era Selmer Soloist in a D facing. This mouthpiece has all the sentimentalities of the 1950s and 60s soloist down to the scroll shank. It has gold paint inlaid to all the stampings, and has that black sheen of a brand new mouthpiece. The rails, rail-tip, and table are in perfect condition, this piece has clearly never been played, there's no teeth marks.

 

The thing that makes this piece stand out in Selmer's mouthpiece offerings is the signature 'horse-shoe' chamber, harkening back to their mid-century designs. The tip of the baffle features a slight roll, and the side walls are flat and directed inward, the piece gives a controlled, focused, dark tone that projects with a bit more ease than a C* would.
