The Model 800 is a standard size professional grenadilla wood oboe. Through small dimensional changes in the bore and and tone holes, this oboe provides a bigger sound with more resonance, fullness and projection that its predecessor, the Fox Model 400. It offers advanced players the breadth and complexity of tone required for orchestral playing.
An adjustable thumb rest is standard on the Model 800. Additional options for this model include (special order only) :
