New Yamaha Custom Series YOB-841 Professional Oboe

The Yamaha Custom Series YOB-841 oboe features a grenadilla body and bell (optional King rosewood available). The keywork is full conservatory system and is silver plated nickel-silver. The oboe has left-hand F, fork F resonance key, and “Philadelphia” D key. This model has a slightly wider “American” style bore design, as opposed to the YOB-831 which has a narrower bore. This design plays with a more open, powerful sound. Also available is the YOB-841L, which features an ebonite-lined upper joint, to help prevent cracking.
