NICE Selmer Paris Supreme Series Alto Sax in Silver Plate - Serial # 826147

This is a very lightly used Selmer Paris Supreme series alto sax in silver plate, serial number 826147. This alto has just been cleaned and polished in our shop by our tech George Bunk, and is in perfect regulation, with looks to kill.

The Supreme is Selmer's newest top-of-the-line alto, and this one in silver plate really stands out. With its new engraving pattern/style, it pops. The sax shows only light surface scratching on the backside of the bell, bottom bow, and tube, with no real wear to the plating, even on the touch points. The original silver is 99.9% intact. George Bunk in our shop just completed a pro set up, with hand polishing of the silver plating and all new material. He replaced a couple pads that looked a little dirty, and adjusted the action throughout. It looks and feels like a new horn, and even the original case is in pristine shape.

This alto plays with a “supremely” warm sound and lush, full response. Very warm, dark, and centered, but with none of the stuffiness you might find on a lot of other “dark” sounding horns. The silver plate adds richness and color, and this alto really stands out. A top tier alto for players wanting the very best, and at a significant discount from where these sell when new.
