Original Lacquer Martin Indiana Alto Sax at a Great Price - Serial # 85098

This is a vintage Martin Indiana alto saxophone in gold lacquer serial number 85098. The Martin Indiana is an absolute classic and is perfect for anyone looking for nice vintage player on a budget. The body of the alto is in great shape for its vintage showing off its dark original lacquer finish and crisp engraving around the bell. There is a smattering of minor dings here and there, but no serious past trauma or repairs. The bell, bow and bow cap are all in nice shape. The original neck shows lacquer wear but no previous damages, and has never been pulled down. Like other classic Martin saxophones this alto does feature beveled tone holes, front F and an adjusting right hand thumb rest.

This Martin came into our shop playing decently on a mix of newer and older pads. A handful of pads could still stand to be replaced. In order to keep the price down, we are selling it in as is condition without doing any work to it in our shop. It plays with a punchy free blowing response and is a super fun instrument to play. This would be an excellent choice for a fist American vintage saxophone or a back up horn. The powerful sound and sturdy build of the Martin alto also makes it a great choice for marching and pep band.
