Original Silver Plated Buescher Aristocrat Alto Saxophone - Serial # 279064

Sweet original silver plated Buescher Aristocrat alto saxophone, serial number 279064. You don't see too many Aristocrats in silver plate, as lacquer was by far the dominant finish option by this time. This one shows only very mild finish wear, and it will get a total cleaning/polishing and overhaul from our shop before shipping out, with all work included in the price.

This alto has been sitting for a number of years and is pretty tarnished, as seen in the photos, but it will ship up very nicely in our repair shop and look great when we are done. The only finish wear that I can spot is on some touch points. The sax is very straight, with no major dents or previous damages/repairs, including no resolders that I can find. The bell flare has never been bent and the bottom bow is dent-free. The one bummer is the neck is not original to the horn, but it is a silver plated neck that matches the sax well. During our overhaul, the sax will get all new pads and material. The pads will be matched with brown plastic resonators, as the original snaps are no longer in the sax.

Currently playing through some leaks on the old pads, you can still get an idea for the presence this sax has, and it will be a lot of fun to play once our work is completed. The Bueschers are known for being very resonant horns, while the silver plating will enhance that all-ready natural resonance with warmth and vibrancy.
