P. Mauriat 66R GL Gold Lacquer Tenor Saxophone – Rolled Tone Holes, Serial #PM0600619

This is a super sweet playing P. Mauriat 66RGL “Gold Lacquer” tenor saxophone, serial number PM0600619. These 66 models are perfect for the players who love the big response and punch of the vintage American instruments. This one in particular is a super powerful player and looks fantastic. 

 

Physically the saxophone is in superb condition. The last owner of the sax took very good care of it and kept it regularly serviced. There is some honest play wear on the sax, light scratches etc, but no major wear or history of repair. All of the leather pads and metal resonators are in fantastic shape. This saxophone was professionally set up in our shop in 2022 and is still playing great. In order to ensure it goes out in perfect playing condition we will look at it once more before it ships. 

 

The 66R is a great way to go if you are looking for the free blowing sound and response of a vintage American tenor in a modern application. It features rolled tone hole construction and ultra comfortable key work to high F#. These models are much more free blowing and robust in comparison to the System 76 and Master 97 models. This particular 66R features a crisp, vibrant sound with a warm core. A highly flexible horn perfect for the modern professional.
