P. Mauriat System 76DK 'Dark Lacquer' Tenor Sax, Serial #PM0822018 - Fresh SQ Ovherhaul

This is an very nice P. Mauriat System 76Dk "Dark Lacquer" tenor saxophone, serial number PMPM0930119. The System 76 is a great horn for players looking for a smooth and direct response to air flow. In comparison to the 66R models the 76DK has a more straight forward focused sonic character to the way it plays. This one in particular has a warm, darker sonic character. 

 

The body of this saxophone is in outstanding physical condition. It has seen a little bit of past use and shows some history of play time. There is a few blemishes and light scratches here and there but nothing too serious. It has no history of past body or solder repair. This System 76 was manufactured in 2019. It just received a fresh mechanical restoration in our shop by repair tech Aaron Standing. The sax is now in perfect playing condition and is featuring a new set of premium leather pads, metal domed resonators and all new key materials. 

 

This saxophone is with a System 76 neck in raw brass. The neck is in superb condition. Like the rest of the saxophone there is some cosmetic character to it but it does not have any history of past repair. The neck has never been pulled down.
