Product ID: GuardalaBariMM
This is a true handmade era Dave Guardala mouthpiece for the bari sax. Tenor and alto pieces are rare enough, but you never see a bari, making this a truly rare find. In silver plate, this piece shows mild tarnish to the silver but is otherwise in stupendous shape. Original pink bite plate is flawless, and the tip, rails, and table all look clean. I believe this piece has been replated in silver at some point in its life, because the hand etching on the shank (where Dave would hand sign the model and serial number) is so faint as to be unreadable. So while I don't know the specific model, it does feature classic high shelf (“Studio”) baffle design. The tip measures in the 8 to 8* range at .122”.
