Selmer SII, Early 1990's - Reduced Price!
This is a Selmer Paris Series II alto saxophone in gold lacquer, serial number 466335. The SII is arguably one of the most successful saxophone models ever manufactured. This is one of the earlier examples. It shows the history of plenty of play time but is in solid physical condition and has a lot to offer any one looking for a great pro alto.

These SII altos are ideal for the professional player looking for something with a lot of versatility. They are considered to be more focused in comparison to the Mark VI. This one in particular is very responsive to air flow and allows for a lot of sonic flexibility.

The body of this sax is in excellent condition while showing a healthy amount of past play time and some past body and solder repair. The body tube, bow and bow cap are all in good condition. There is a previous solder repair to one of the guard feet on the low Eb key guard as well as some past repair to the outer bell flare. The pearls are all original but do show some general wear from past use. This saxophone is with the original neck. The neck has never been pulled down but is missing most of the original finish at this time.

This alto came into our shop with a nice set of leather pads and metal domed resonators. The pads are in great shape and have a ton of life left in them. It is due for some general service at this time. As such it is currently awaiting a professional set up and cleaning in our shop. The professional set up will include a dissemble, cleaning and replacement of any necessary materials while it is apart on the bench. It ships out in perfect playing condition with a used contoured case.
