Selmer Paris SIII Tenor Saxophone in Gold Lacquer, Serial #651364

This is a nice Selmer Paris SIII tenor saxophone in gold lacquer, serial number 651364. The SIII is a top notch professional instrument. Its smooth response to air flow and great key feel have made it a long time favorite with many of the finest saxophonist over the years. 

 

Like many great playing instruments this one has seen plenty of past play time but is still in tremendous condition. It is currently in line to receive a professional set-up in our shop. The work will include a dissemble and cleaning followed by a thorough regulation of the key work. While the sax is apart the tech will also replace any pads and key materials that are not up to our standard. 

 

The body of the saxophone is in very good condition. It shows some normal cosmetic wear but has no history of serious repair around the body. There has never been any major dent or solder repairs. Its bow, bow cap and bell are all in terrific condition. The original neck with the saxophone was pulled down at some point in the past. It will be brought back up to its true position as part of the saxophone set up in our shop. 

 

This particular SIII showcases a deep warm quality from top to bottom. It keeps a rich character while producing dark color with consistent control. The SIII was manufactured with very comfortable key action to high F#. 

 

This saxophone ships out in perfect playing condition with a pro set up from our shop and the original Selmer wood hard case.
