Vintage 1917 Buescher True Tone Alto Saxophone, Serial #32172

This is easily one of the earliest Bueschers we have had on our web site in some time. Vintage Buescher True Tone alto, serial number 32172 The horn was most likely originally in raw brass until it was later lacquered. It shows the history of lots of play time but is in great shape considering it is now over 100 years old. 

 

All of the original key work, guards and the neck is included and in solid condition. It looks like some one did a re-pad on it 10 to 20 years ago with some standard leather pads and brown plastic resonators. The pads are on the older side at this point but that being said the sax is currently playing decently down to a low Bb. Because of the older age of this saxophone it is most appealing as a collectors item. It is not advisable for professional use or for a starting student. But if you want to get an idea of what a pre 1920's horn was like this Buescher is going to get you there.
