Vintage C.G. Conn 6M Naked Lady Alto Saxophone, Serial #275574
Conn Naked Lady Alto
This is a vintage C.G. Conn 6M “Naked Lady” alto saxophone in gold lacquer with rolled tone holes, serial number 275574. These altos are classic items from the jazz era. All done up with good pads they are excellent free blowing players and a very colorful. This one looks like it had a very active playing life in its day. It has been some time since this saxophone has seen any attention in a good shop and is currently in need of a complete restoration.
The body of the saxophone has seen past body and solder repair. Its lacquer does look to be original and still shows crisp engraving on the bell area. All of the rolled tone holes are in good condition and do not look like they have ever been filled down in the past. The saxophone is with all the original key work including the rollers, pearls and trill G# key. Its original neck with double socket, under slung octave key and micro tuner is with the horn, it has been pulled down at some point. The micro tuner is moving a little tight but is not frozen. Looking over the horn closely it looks like it is missing one set screw on the bell key guard mount.
This horn is currently in need of a complete re-pad and mechanical restoration. At this time we have a large number of great vintage items in need of repair we are selling at lower prices in as is condition. If you know a good tech this alto can be picked up at a much lower price.
