This is nice original lacquer “The Martin” Committee III tenor saxophone, serial number 169747. If you are looking for a good price on a good playing Martin this tenor is an ideal choice. These Martins are super responsive and free blowing. They are perfect if you are looking for something with some power and a lot of projection. This one ships with our pro set-up and a good wood hard case.
The tenor shows a healthy amount of finish and play wear from its years of use but is in solid physical condition. The body tube, bow, bow cap bell and neck are all in good shape. There has been some history of past body and solder work on this sax. These Martin tenors were made with beveled tone holes, compact key work and an adjustable right hand thumb rest slide. The original neck for this saxophone with matching serial number stamp is included.
This saxophone appears to have been previously re-padded in another shop but it looks like they did not do any of the final regulation work. In order to do this horn justice this sax is currently in line to receive our complete pro set up. Our set up will include a complete dissemble, cleaning, key fitting and regulation of all the key work. While the sax is apart we will also replace any needed key material.
This sax ships out in perfect playing condition with our pro set up and a non original wood hard case.
