Yanagisawa AWO1 Pro Model Alto Sax at a Great Price - Serial # 00389896

This is a great deal on a professional Yanagisawa AWO1 series alto sax in gold lacquer, serial number 00389896. This alto is in solid used condition and will ship with a fresh cleaning and adjustment from our repair shop, ready to go strong for its next owner for a long time to come.

This alto shows mild lacquer from normal use, mostly on the backside of the bell and tube where it may rest up against the player during play, and on the usual touch points where your hands rest. There's one very tiny ping in the bell from bumping a chair or stand, but no other dents or previous dent repair or damages. The neck has some mild lacquer loss like the horn, but has never been pulled down or damaged. All in all, the wear throughout is just cosmetic and does not affect play.

This sax is currently in our shop receiving a fresh regulation and pro set up. We'll replace a few pads that are starting to show age, as well as all key adjustment corks and material. We'll readjust the action to bring everything back to factory specs and it will feel like a new horn when you receive it.

The Yani AWO10 gets all the hype, but I personally like the AWO1 series better. Without all the miniribs, the AWO1 is a much lighter horn and is thus overall more responsive and has a livelier sound. Very strong response without sacrificing warmth or tonal color, and it takes your air evenly and comfortably, from a whisper in the bell keys to a soaring forte in the palm keys and altissimo. Great all around player, it ships in its original case.
